"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication," said Leonardo Da Vinci.
Simplifying the complex is perhaps one of the most underrated virtues of our time. We pride ourselves on excess -- the newest gadgets, a full social calendar and quantity over quality with regards to relationships, experiences and possessions. We even find a weird sense of righteousness in workaholism. Recently, wines around CDO are easy to come by. Almost all major malls and supermarkets around the city have wineries. SM City and SM Savemore supermarkets have them, Robinsons Supermarket at LimKetKai, also Ayala Mall Supermarket and there is this dedicated wine store named The Wine Cellar located at JR Borja Ext..
Of these, the Ayala Mall Supermarket boast a wide and varied collection of wines (white, red, sparkling, etc) although I have never been to The Wine Cellar. Must visit this sometime. I've been reading a lot about Pinot Noir (Pee-Noo-Nwahr) and since been on the hunt. I found a couple of bottles in Ayala Centrio, which is from California and New Zealand and priced at Php700+ and Php900+ respectively.
Ever wonder what barangay in CDO is the most populous with respect to land area? Well you can look for yourself. According to national statistics for CDO year 2010, barangay 18 ranked the highest in population per land area. Barangay 18 is located between Magsaysay St. and Capistrano St. , Del Pilar St and the Marcos Bridge area.
Areas also ranking in higher population per land area are Barangays 17, 15 and 13. These are areas around and near barangay 18.
