Hours after typhoon Sendong (Washi) hit Cagayan de Oro, the city's water supply was severely affected. This bought to around 70% to 80% water supply shortfall in CDO for almost a month. As of today, the water supply around CDO was restored with exceptions to barangays badly afftected by the typhoon.

Dinosaurs Alive! is a new $3 million interactive exhibition featuring eight life-like robotic moving dinosaurs. The life-like robots are engineered by the Japanese robotics specialist KOKORO which supplies animatronics to the world's leading museums and theme parks, including the Natural History Museum, London. A team of technicians, engineers and landscapers from Japan and Australia will spend two weeks preparing the themed exhibition and family activity centre. The activity centre will include activities including fossil digging pits, giant jigsaws, drawing, stamping stations and more.
