A LIFE WELL SPENT
By: Susie Moore on Huffingtonpost.com "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication," said Leonardo Da Vinci.
Simplifying the complex is perhaps one of the most underrated virtues of our time. We pride ourselves on excess -- the newest gadgets, a full social calendar and quantity over quality with regards to relationships, experiences and possessions. We even find a weird sense of righteousness in workaholism. As a life coach in New York City, I meet a lot of high-achieving individuals and they often do not consider a simple life a successful life, until we dig a little deeper. Then it can be baffling as to why they did not consider simplicity a must in the first place. Happiness is the goal of all other goals and the secret to happiness is simply inner peace. Overindulgence in anything disrupts this. When we tread the peaceful path, simplicity lines the walk. The truth is, simplicity is freeing. It is natural. When we over extend ourselves and fill our lives with clutter, both materially and emotionally, we lose touch with the essence of ourselves and with what matters. Our resources -- time, money, even energy, are limited. Spreading them too thin does not serve anyone. Least of all you. Here are five easy tips to simplify your life: 1. Seek quality, not quantity with friendships. 2. Stop being so ... Read More Here

My first attempt at blogging started on the 2007, I signed up for a free account on wordpress.com.
Here's the link if you want to see some old posts. :D http://bitspiecesofme.wordpress.com/ My first motivation for running is just to get fit and loose some baby fats. I've been playing badminton for atmost 4 years, and let me tell you, you won't slim down if you don't cut on the FOODS. Clearly its not working for me. I have to increase my playing time to burn more calories which i can't because I lack the time (being a new father and all the baby stuff to take care of). Or I can stop eating which is a difficult vice to get rid of. Hehe. And of course I can just introduce a new activity to burn additional calories and still have the time (run in the morning when baby is asleep hehe) for some baby stuff. So i thought, what about running? Its all the craze I've been hearing. So i've started running. With the goal of loosing those baby fats. Last Dec 2012 I did some practice runs and started out with some light jogs. I log my runs using www.mapmyrun.com website and used their android app for tracking my pace, distance and time. After a month, I thought, these darn smartphones are just so heavy in the pocket that I decided to invest in a running watch. I've bought a Garmin FR10 and log my runs using the Garmin Connect site. I'm planning to post a review in the Garmin FR10...hmmm..maybe..hehe. For now, I'm loving that I can use it for running and just an everyday watch. Keep running...Next up, 5k Fun Run... -----Crack3d_l3ns Running----- I have been out for awhile with a very good reason. I'm already a Dad!!! :D Here's a photo of our little guy! xoxo

In Memory of my "Lolo" Guzman
Forever you'll stay in our hearts Of the hundreds affected by typhoon Sendong, my uncle and cousins, with their kids, was one of them. We are indeed grateful that all of them are safe. Yesterday, me and my sister talked to my nephews and asked them to share their experience through drawing. I've read that (click here) somehow that this helps kids express their feelings. At first, I thought, they would just draw trees or just doodle away. But then what they draw surprised me, they vividly drew what they saw that night. See their drawings below.
I had the opportunity to do something for the environment. Last Sept 18, 2011, we took part of Coral Conservation Program by Duka Bay Resort by doing some Coral Transplantation. Super fun. Dive Dive Dive...:D enjoy the photos
